Taking proper care of your microwave contributes to safe and efficient cooking while avoiding unnecessary damage. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to look after your microwave:

 

Regular Cleaning of the interior:

 

Wipe the interior after each use to prevent the buildup of food residue. And wipe any spillages  Remove and clean the turntable and support roller regularly. Wash them in warm, soapy water. Check the interior corners and ceiling for any stubborn stains or food particles and clean them thoroughly.

 

Door and Seals:

 

Wipe the door, handle, and seals to prevent the accumulation of dirt or food residue. Regularly check the door seals for any signs of wear or damage.

 

Microwave-Safe Utensils:

 

Only use containers and utensils labelled as microwave-safe. Avoid using metal containers, aluminium foil, or dishes with metallic trims, as they can cause sparks and damage the microwave.

 

Covering Food:
